How it Works

Enter Your Movement.

Complete the 6-week Cohort in Your Category.

Weeks 1 and 2: It’s your time. It’s your value. Bring your competitive advantage out front.

Weeks 3 and 4: Pathways to 10X growth: revenue, clients, influence.

Week 5: Strategy: Neuroscience, Insights, & Connections

Week 6: Your Story on Center Stage

Tell Your Story at an Entre-SLAM Festival in front of Investors.

Amplify Your Brand’s Social Impact

All founders are encouraged to showcase the outcomes from their 6-week experience by presenting their brand's strategic goals and story at a high-stakes Entre-SLAM event. A panel of judges will meticulously assess the viability of each brand's goals, ultimately selecting a winner in each category. The triumphant brand will then submit its metrics and insights to a diligent verification committee.

Entre-SLAM is committed to providing continuous support, coaching, and valuable connections to sustain the momentum gained during the competition. As a pinnacle event, the top eight candidates showcasing the most remarkable progress by October 15th, 2024, will be invited to share their compelling stories at the prestigious National Business Storytelling Conference on October 30th.

The ultimate victor will bask in the glory of a substantial cash prize and earn national recognition and exposure, further solidifying their position as a beacon of success in the business landscape.

What You Will Work On:

Design Your Competitive Advantage

Differentiation is essential. Playing small is no longer an option. If your product or service is successful but you sense that something is missing, you’re probably right. Come front and center. Own your journey. Capitalize on that one thing that your competitors can never emulate: you.

OUTCOMES:

  • You will declare and articulate, in 10 words or less, a problem worth solving. You will find your brand’s “Blue Ocean”.

  • You will design your brand’s value chain.

Discover Your Brand’s Moonshot

Look in the proverbial mirror and check your business model’s blind spots. Explore how new technology (ex., A.I.), market changes (ex., climate change), and competition have made your organization vulnerable while you ultimately discover unexpected new opportunities, markets, and customers.

OUTCOMES:

  • Using design thinking methodologies, you will design a model to amplify and test it with key stakeholders.

  • You will determine the right people and resources required to activate the moonshot.

Leverage Deductive Reasoning Skills

This experience will throw you into the deep waters of identifying and clarifying the real problem you’re solving, the science of understanding what customers want, and data-driven strategies to improve performance and engagement.

OUTCOMES:

  • You will understand the science behind what influences and motivates a customer

  • You will strengthen your deductive reasoning skills to capitalize on what your competitors miss about your market and build a strategy to leverage your insights.

Brand Storytelling

Your brand’s story is an impressive and memorable tapestry of your brand’s type and experience. With these Tournaments, you’ll not just master the art of storytelling but also learn how to own whatever room you find yourself.

OUTCOMES:

  • Craft a narrative that blends the four critical components of a compelling and memorable brand story.

  • Determine your brand’s type, build an experience that accurately captures and delivers that experience to customers, and be Center Stage ready.

Engage virtually on a private and comprehensive project management platform, with the added opportunity to attend in-person training events. The top five candidates from each cohort will receive invitations to showcase their stories and displays before an Entre-SLAM audience of investors and influencers.

The first-place winner will win $1,000 and be invited to present their story at the Business Storytelling Conference on October 30th.

Meet Your Facilitator

Christa Chambers-Price

I am a versatile professional with a diverse background—originally a concert violist, then serving as an Army National Guard Combat Telecommunications Specialist (I was part of the team that helped descramble tactical messages in the field), transitioning into a role as an FBI fingerprint analyst, and ultimately evolving into a brand and marketing strategist. Over the years, my experiences have cultivated a keen appreciation for nuance, and I've developed a habit of questioning everything.

In my 25-year journey, I've been dedicated to assisting health, digital tech, and social impact teams to own their space and thrive. Whether in urban hubs, rural communities, or historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), I specialize in challenging cognitive biases and transforming ambitious ideas into scalable solutions. My expertise lies in crafting narratives that captivate and compel markets and investors to rally behind these ventures.

Navigating the uncertain landscape of what the market accepts is a central aspect of my role. I provide innovators with a solid foundation for growth. As the founder of Entre-SLAM, I also host business storytelling festivals nationwide. A pivotal moment was when an Entre-SLAM business storytelling event evolved into the AHA's National Health Equity accelerator. Since 2017, I have been privileged to design and lead a Health Equity accelerator for a billion-dollar organization—the American Heart Association. These eighteen accelerators have graduated candidates who have achieved remarkable success, from being acquired to securing substantial funding in seed, Series A, and B financing rounds.

Originating from the Blue Ridge Mountains, storytelling runs in my blood. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan (Go BLUE!), I further honed my skills through Stanford University's Graduate School of Business's Leadership and Innovation program (LEAD '22). With a rich tapestry of experiences, I bring a unique perspective to every endeavor, ensuring a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and a commitment to transformative narratives.
